Getting your Child to School Safely

It is imperative that our children arrive at school in a timely and safe manner. With the many road improvements made around our school, there are a number of safe options available to parents for drop-off and pick-up, with plenty of available parking spaces. Please make sensible choices parents and observe our rules, use the zebra crossing and park in the allocated spaces. These are designed with everyone’s safety in mind, most especially our students.

Catching the Bus

 

There is a public bus service available for our Hobsonville School students to use for getting to and from school. You pay using an AT HOP bus pass, which can be purchased either online, or from any train station or selected retailer. Just click on the links below to view the bus route maps.

Henderson via Westgate to Hobsonville School and Constellation Station (Rosedale)

ETA AT HOBSONVILLE SCHOOL IS 8.40AM AND FOLLOWS THIS ROUTE:
Departs Henderson Station at 8.00am, then travels along Swanson Road to Don Buck Road, through Westgate onto Fred Taylor Drive, onto Hobsonville Road to Hobsonville School, to Hobsonville Point, then Greenhithe and lastly to Constellation Station on the North Shore.

Hobsonville School to West Harbour and Massey West

DEPARTS HOBSONVILLE SCHOOL AT 3.10PM, THEN FOLLOWS THIS ROUTE:
Drives along Hobsonville Road turning right into Wiseley Road, onto Marina View Drive into Luckens Road, left onto Hobsonville Road, onto Oriel Ave, onto Moire Road, followed by Royal Road, Don Buck Road, Triangle Road and LAST STOP is at 12 Triangle Road (5636)

Cars & Parking

 

It is imperative that ALL parents abide by our rules around driving to and parking at school. We want to insure that our students can arrive at school in a safe and reasonable manner. We are relying on our school parents to be respectful and adhere to normal traffic rules at all times.

 

Parent & Visitor Car Parks

There are many places to park in and around the school on both Hobsonville Road and Dowdens Lane, with a dedicated drop-off and pick-up zone on Dowdens Lane. Only parents and caregivers of disabled students may park in the assigned spots located in the administration car park on Hobsonville Road.

 

Administration & Staff Car Parks

We ask parents NOT to drop-off, collect or park in the administration car park at the front of the school or the staff car park. Parking in a disabled car park is illegal. Please be respectful.

Drop-off and Pick-up Zone

 

A dedicated drop-off and pick-up zone is located on upper Dowdens Lane, opposite our staff car park. This is a purpose built area for our parents to quickly ‘drop-off and go’ or ‘collect and go’. Between 8.30 to 9.00 and 3.00pm to 3.15pm parents are requested not to leave a vehicle and to only remain in the park for up to 5 minutes. Vehicles can be parked for short periods after 3.15pm.
