Hobsonville School Donation
School donations are an essential component of the school’s budgeting. To maintain the high standard of our facilities and the educational opportunities available at Hobsonville School, it is necessary to supplement the grant we receive from the Ministry of Education. This financial support, gratefully received from our incredible community, allows us to provide the best possible educational experiences for our students, including a range of exciting additional learning space resources and programmes, ICT technologies (i.e. iPads and Chromebook’s), interactive TVs, and sporting equipment.

For students starting during the year the cost is $50.00 per student per term. The preferred method of payment is through KINDO or payment can be made by EFTPOS at the school office. A receipt will be issued for tax refund purposes.
Your donations help us achieve our vision of helping our students be the BEST they can be, and we appreciate all parents paying the donations on time. Please contact our office if you wish to pay it off in installments. The expectation is that school donations are paid at the pre-entry visit or on the day your child starts school.
You can claim a tax refund on school donations paid by requesting and completing an IR526 form from the Inland Revenue.
Activity Fee
At the beginning of each new term, a ‘Learning Focus Newsletter’ is emailed to all parents informing them of any up-and-coming events, EOTC school trips or activities requiring payment. These activities are extra to the curriculum, so children don’t participate if the fee hasn’t been paid, or if no alternative arrangements for payment have been made (e.g. payment by instalments).
To ensure your child doesn’t miss out, please pay the activity fees on time, or contact us if you have any issues. If your child is new to Hobsonville School and has started during the current school year, you will be emailed an activity fee invoice. This should be paid in full through KINDO. If you need help setting up your MYKINDO account, please contact our Finance Administrator. Please don’t hesitate to contact either your child’s teacher or the school office if you have any queries regarding this fee.
